Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, diced
  • 1 cup carrots, diced
  • 1 cup peas
  • 1 cup potatoes, diced
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 3/4 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon gyro chicken seasoning
  • 1 pie crust

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  3. Add onions and cook until soft.
  4. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Add chicken broth and milk, whisking until smooth.
  6. Stir in chicken, carrots, peas, potatoes, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and gyro chicken seasoning.
  7. Pour the mixture into a pie crust.
  8. Cover with another pie crust and seal the edges.
  9. Cut slits in the top crust for steam to escape.
  10. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

  • Let the pie cool for a few minutes before serving.
  • You can use store-bought pie crust for convenience.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables like corn or green beans.
