- 500g potatoes

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
- Cut potatoes into thin strips and soak in water for 30 minutes.
- Drain potatoes and pat dry.
- Toss potatoes with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Spread fries on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden.
- Season steaks with salt and pepper.
- Heat a skillet over high heat and add butter (if using).
- Cook steaks for 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare.
- Let steaks rest for 5 minutes before serving.
- Serve steaks with fries on the side.
