Butter chicken is a rich and creamy Indian dish made with marinated chicken cooked in a spiced tomato sauce.

Ingredients

  • 500g chicken breast, boneless and skinless
  • 200g yogurt
  • 50g butter
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 400g canned tomatoes
  • 100ml heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons garam masala
  • 2 teaspoons ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate chicken with yogurt, garam masala, ginger-garlic paste, and salt for at least 1 hour.
  2. Heat butter in a pan and sauté onions until golden.
  3. Add marinated chicken and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in canned tomatoes and simmer for 20 minutes.
  5. Add cream and cook for another 5 minutes.
  6. Garnish with cilantro and serve hot.
