Ingredients

  • 1 lb crab meat
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup onion, diced
  • 1/4 cup celery, diced
  • 1/4 cup bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 4 cups seafood stock
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat.
  2. Add onion, celery, bell pepper, and garlic. Sauté until soft.
  3. Stir in flour and cook for 2 minutes.
  4. Add seafood stock gradually, stirring constantly.
  5. Bring to a simmer, then add crab meat and Old Bay seasoning.
  6. Stir in heavy cream and heat through.
  7. Season with salt and pepper.
  8. Serve hot with crusty bread.
