Fattoush Salad with Lemon-Sumac Dressing: 5 Fresh Twists

Ingredients

  • 2 cups mixed greens
  • 1 cup cucumber, diced
  • 1 cup tomato, diced
  • 1 cup radishes, sliced
  • 1/2 cup parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 cup mint, chopped
  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon sumac
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh pita bread, toasted and broken into pieces

Instructions

  1. Chop all vegetables and herbs.
  2. In a large bowl, combine mixed greens, cucumber, tomato, radishes, parsley, mint, and red onion.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, sumac, and salt.
  4. Pour the dressing over the salad and toss gently.
  5. Add the toasted pita bread just before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust sumac and salt according to your taste.
