Flank Steak July — Homemade: 5 Steps to Grilling Perfection

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs flank steak
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, olive oil, red wine vinegar, garlic, black pepper, salt, and rosemary.
  2. Place flank steak in a resealable bag and pour marinade over it.
  3. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
  4. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  5. Remove steak from marinade and discard the marinade.
  6. Grill steak for 5-7 minutes per side for medium-rare.
  7. Remove from grill and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  8. Slice against the grain and serve.

  • Adjust cooking time based on desired doneness.
  • Serve with grilled vegetables or a salad.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
