Ingredients

  • 1 cup dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease an 8-inch round cake pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.
  3. Melt the chocolate and butter together in a double boiler or microwave.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, salt, and vanilla.
  5. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  6. Sift in cocoa powder and mix until smooth.
  7. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
  8. Bake for 25 minutes or until the center is set.
  9. Let it cool before removing from the pan.
