Fried Rice (Chinese Style): 5 Reasons to Savor This Comfort

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked rice
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 cup mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 3 green onions, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  2. Add mixed vegetables and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Push the vegetables to one side and pour in the beaten eggs.
  4. Scramble the eggs until fully cooked.
  5. Add the cooked rice and mix well.
  6. Stir in soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper.
  7. Add green onions and stir for another 2 minutes to heat through.

Notes

  • Use day-old rice for better texture.
  • Feel free to add cooked chicken, shrimp, or tofu for protein.
