- 2 slices of white bread
- 1 pork loin cutlet
- 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
- Tonka sauce
Instructions
- Season the pork cutlet with salt and pepper.
- Dredge the cutlet in flour, dip in egg, and coat with panko breadcrumbs.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the cutlet until golden brown.
- Drain on paper towels.
- Slice the bread and spread tonkatsu sauce on one side.
- Place the fried cutlet on the sauce-covered bread.
- Top with another slice of bread and cut in half.
Notes
- For a spicy kick, add wasabi to the sauce.
- Use chicken or tofu for a different protein option.
- Serve with pickled vegetables.
