Ingredients

- 4 lbs pork shoulder
- 2 cups barbecue sauce
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 8 hamburger buns
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Mix the spices together in a bowl.
- Rub the spice mixture all over the pork shoulder.
- Place the pork in a roasting pan and cover with foil.
- Bake for 6 hours or until the pork is tender.
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for 30 minutes.
- Shred the pork using two forks.
- Mix the shredded pork with barbecue sauce.
- Serve on hamburger buns.
Notes
- You can cook the pork in a slow cooker for 8 hours on low.
- Adjust the amount of cayenne pepper for spice level.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
