Ingredients

  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 28 oz can crushed tomatoes
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef with onion and garlic in a large pot.
  2. Add crushed tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Break the lasagna noodles into pieces and stir into the pot.
  4. Simmer for 20 minutes until noodles are tender.
  5. Stir in ricotta cheese and half of the mozzarella.
  6. Top with remaining mozzarella and cover until melted.

Notes

  • You can use ground turkey for a lighter option.
