Ingredients

- 2 cans of chopped clams (10 oz each)
- 4 slices of bacon, diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 stalks of celery, chopped
- 1 bell pepper, chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 can of diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
- 2 cups of clam juice
- 1 teaspoon of dried thyme
- 1 bay leaf
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a pot, cook bacon over medium heat until crispy.
- Add onion, celery, bell pepper, and garlic. Cook until softened.
- Stir in tomatoes, clam juice, thyme, and bay leaf.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Add clams and heat through for 5 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Serve hot, garnished with parsley.

- Use fresh clams for a richer flavor.
