Ingredients

- 2 lbs chicken breasts
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Season chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Place chicken in the skillet and cook until browned.
- Add BBQ sauce and chicken broth to the skillet.
- Cover and simmer on low for 30 minutes.
- Remove chicken and shred with two forks.
- Return shredded chicken to the skillet and stir to coat with sauce.
- Serve on buns or as desired.
Notes
- Can substitute chicken thighs for chicken breasts.
- Adjust BBQ sauce for desired sweetness.
- Can be made in a slow cooker for convenience.
