- 1 tbsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 cup beef broth
- Wood chips for smoking
Instructions
- Prepare the brisket by trimming excess fat.
- Mix salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
- Rub the spice mix all over the brisket.
- Let the brisket sit at room temperature for 1 hour.
- Preheat your smoker to 225°F.
- Place wood chips in the smoker.
- Smoke the brisket for 1.5 hours per pound.
- Spray with beef broth every hour.
- Check for an internal temperature of 195°F.
- Remove from smoker and let it rest for 30 minutes before slicing.
